Boiled Omelettes?

What a great idea! Some folks at a bbs I post to were commenting about it, so I Googled it.

Note: the technical term for the way this is cooked is called a "sous vide".

Here's a great recipe I swiped over at Mr. Breakfast!

Omelettes In A Bag (1 serving)

Ingredients:
Procedure:
  1. Crack eggs right into the small Ziploc bag.
  2. Add the cheese and any option ingredients you like.
  3. Seal the bag, squish the ingredients to mix.
  4. "Burp" the air out.
  5. Bring a medium-sized pan of water to a heavy boil.
  6. Drop Ziploc baggie into the boiling water.
  7. Boil for 5 minutes.
  8. Carefully, remove baggie from the water. Open the bag and roll the omelette onto a plate.
