INGREDIENTS:
6 Cups of flour
3 Cups of sugar
1 Table spoon of baking soda or powder (My friend uses powder)
12 Egg Yolks
1 Lb Butter
1/2 Cup Dark Rum
PROCEDURE:
- Preheat oven at 350F;
- Mix dry stuff;
- Mix the egg yolks, butter and rum;
- Combine wet and dry ingredients together. It takes lot of mixing and kneading to get it worked in.
- Put it into 3 8 inch pans flattened out and cover top with egg wash (one egg should do all three) and score the top in a checkered fashion.
- Bake at 350 for 45 minutes to an hour, top should be golden brown.
